- Understand what strategic sourcing is all about;
- Acquire the terminology, principles and practices related to procurement management;
- Know the mechanisms and concepts of contract administration from project start-up to project closure.
- Identification of requirements - Procurement requirements register: how and where to list the complete requirements (to the extent possible) to complete the project.
- Procurement management steps: developing a bid for suppliers (planning and managing a tender to select a supplier), requesting a quote, using a contract to formalize the agreement, issuing a purchase order, issuing payments, closing the contract (ensuring that all potential issues are addressed)
