Objectives of the training

Provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively fulfill the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager in an Agile environment with numerous teams and complex environments. This course will, therefore, help in the preparation for the SAFe POPM certification exam (6.0).

Targeted audience

Program or project manager - Business analyst - Agile coach - Product manager - Software developer.

Prerequisite

Experience working in a SAFe environment is not required. Experience in Lean, Agile, or other relevant certifications are a plus to get the most out of this training.

Course architecture

  • The roles and responsibilities of the Product Owner and Product Manager in a SAFe environment 

  • Adopting a customer-centric approach to product creation 

  • Collaboration with engineering teams and business stakeholders 

  • Writing epics, features and user stories 

  • Design, prioritize, build, test and deliver products with increased productivity and superior quality 

  • Prepare and lead Program Increments (PI) planning 

  • Breaking down epics into functionalities and functionalities into user stories 

  • Collaboration with Agile teams 

  • Integration of SAFe's Lean-Agile principles and values into PO/PM roles

The completion of this course shall grant you access to the exam, offered only in French, and to all related study materials, as part of your learning plan on the SAFe community platform. Participants must attend the two course days in order to be qualified to sit for the exam. This training will take place from 8:30 AM till 5:00 PM.
